War in My Head

Good day!

I found this Bible passage yesterday and I really think that I should share it to everyone. It hit me!

Read: Romans 7:15-25

For what I do is no the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do – this I keep on doing.

Romans 7:19

Christians or not, we are taught on what is right and what is wrong. We have the laws to prove that. We are aware of it yet we do against it. We know it is wrong to lie but still we do it. We know it is wrong to curse, yet we still do it. We know that it is wrong to have sex out of wedlock, yet we (not we as in we) still do it. We know it is wrong to steal, yet we still do it. We know it is wrong to kill, yet we (not we as in we) still do it. We already have a proper understanding of what is right and wrong yet we don’t do it.

But what is right? We know it is right to follow our parents, yet we disobey them. We know it is right to eat and live healthily, yet we still eat whatever we like and we abuse our bodies. We know it is right to read the Bible, yet we ignore it. We know it is right to share the Word of God, yet we don’t do it.

Let us not say we are doing the best that we can. Let us not compromise. That type where we are lying so that we won’t hurt others, but it is still lying. That type where we will curse all we want from Mondays until Saturdays and shout praises to the Lord on Sundays so we will be forgiven, but it is still cursing. That type where we prioritize our worldly body’s needs and just speak words of repentance just so you will be excused, but it is still gluttony and lust. That type where we know it is a wrong thing yet we do another good thing just to balance it out, but it is still the wrong thing. NO! Let us not compromise.

We are Christians. We are a part of God’s body! And as such, we are to follow how He is. We are to be His. We are of His. We are to live as He is.

Saying something?
